just touched down in London town.

Yesterday our college class got the oppotunity to spend the day in London doing some photography and then take a tour around the new BBC Broadcasting House. We spent an hour in the morning in Trafalgar Square taking some photo's for a street photography project.

We then carried on walking for about fifteen minutes and stopped off in Carnaby Street for a spot of lunch and a shopping opportunity. We wandered around looking in different shops including Monki, David and Goliath, Dr Martens and Levi's. We Then went for lunch and a drink in a pub called The Shakespear's Head. While walking around the street we found Choccywoccydoodah and MAC which Jade and I went mad over.

After an hour and a half walking around Carnaby Street it was time to move on. We started walking and headed to the new BBC Broadcasting House. As media students this was a great opportunity for us as the building had only been open a month and we got to see the newsroom and a studio.

After leaving at 9:30 that morning from Portsmouth, it was time to leave London at 5:00pm. Why my lecturers thought it was a good time to leave London in rush hour I will never know. We spent the three hours it took to back to Portsmouth keeking our journey home, Jess and I listening to old rock songs, old screamo songs, old R&B songs and getting excited about driving past Gatwick and Heathrow watching planes go over us.

Over all I had an amazing day. The weather was amazing however I am a little sun burnt on my shoulders; I never learn when it comes to sun cream! The BBC Tour wasn't as good as I expected as it was just learning about the history of the BBC. I was a little disappointed we weren't allowed in the Radio 1 studio as that's what I kind of want to do.
